This past October I travelled to Iceland. I enjoyed everything from the planning to every moment spent exploring the country, the cuisine, and the culture. My biggest task was to find a place to stay that would meet my needs. I had decided that I would be based in Reykjavik and rent a car. One of the best days I had in Iceland was on a road trip to Vik. Visiting the black sand beaches of Vik had been at the top of my to do list, and it did not disappoint. Google maps estimated the trip would take 2.25hrs from Reykjavik.
