Burg Hotel in Nuremberg, Germany

Recently I stayed at the Burg Hotel in the Old Town area of Nuremberg, Germany. I was in town for the Christmas Market and couldn't have been happier with my stay.
I first found the hotel on booking.com when I was searching for an affordable hotel close to the market. This one came up on my list and it was perfect. The location seemed close, reviews looked good, and the hotel architecture and decor seemed to match the feel of old town. So, I booked it.
When we arrived I was unsure about parking. I had requested it but knew that it would be offsite. When we pulled up the reception checked us in and gave us 10 min to park out front and get settled in our rooms. Once we were settled I was told to park the car at a garage relatively close. The walk was only four minutes and to my surprise I found a spot quickly. The woman at reception said that it might take me a while to find a spot because the garage fills up. So finding a spot right away was a huge plus.
The room was spacious with a balcony. If it had been a little warmer it would have been nice. The hotel itself has a pool, sauna, and gym on the basement level. They offer breakfast for 10€ a day, and have a restaurant at the end of the street. You can go to the restaurant during specific hours, but they also offer in room dining. The menu isn't big but the goulash, beef stew with biscuits and gravy, and salad were delicious.
The location is what I loved most about this place. You are within walking distance to everything. The Christmas Market was 6 minutes away, the St Sebaldus Church was 3 minutes away, and the Nuremberg Castle was 7 minutes away.
The staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this hotel. It was amazing for price and location during the holiday season.
