Ahhh... The Maine Lobster Roll. Consisting of a well toasted buttery hot dog bun and an overwhelming amount of lobster. Weather you are a traditionalist and prefer it mixed with mayo, or are more partial to that warm butter drizzled on top, Maine is where you want to get a Lobster Roll. After making my way up the coast I have concluded that there are two places in Maine that are a must and offer an irresistible, mouth watering, and all around delicious Maine Lobster Roll.

Red's Eats

Arguably the most delicious lobster roll in Maine. This roadside shack is serving up a hardy portion of fresh lobster on a well toasted buttered bun with warm butter right off the grill. Offering mayo as well for those who are a mayo lover. It was everything I imagined it would be. A line down the street, friendly customer service, and a delicious lobster roll that lived up to the hype. There is something about the charm of Red's. Situated in Wiscassett, Maine along the water where you can dine with a view. Perfect place for a pit stop on your drive up north or coming back home down south. Red's is not to be missed.

The Clam Shack

One of Maine's more famous places to find a lobster roll, located in Kennebunkport. The Clam Shack has gotten a lot of a attention for its main dish. This lobster roll is presented on a round roasted roll with delicious meat drizzled with butter. Though the portion of lobster is slightly smaller than other spots, the bun certainly makes up for it. The line quickly spread down the street and had hungry patrons waiting up to 30 min for a taste. If your in southern Maine make sure to stop in to Kennebunkport.
